Here are some of my favourite sandwiches to get chefs and caterers thinking about creative combinations.
Devilled Sausage Ciabatta
Slice veggie sausages roasted in Mexican Adobo Sauce. Slice your ciabatta and spread with a thin layer of Chipotle Mayonnaise if you like it hot, or regular if you want to cool things down. Top with sliced peppers and cracked chilli seeds.
Middle Eastern Hummus and Roasted Vegetable Flatbread
Brush sliced peppers, courgettes and aubergines with Middle-Eastern Hot Sauce before grilling until lightly blackened at the edges.
Spread your flatbread with garlic and yoghurt dressing, and layer on your spicy vegetables. Dollop on a generous serving of Lion Hummus Mayo and add an additional drizzle of Hot Sauce if you like it fiery!
Mexican Chicken Wrap
Marinating chicken breast in Habanaro Hot Sauce with its fiery flavour and sweet fruit chilli notes is key to this flavourful wrap, garnished with multi-coloured peppers, sweetcorn and kidney beans. A handful of shredded lettuce and grated carrot can also add extra crunch.
Simply grill your chicken and coat it in additional sauce. Take your wrap and line with Chipotle Mayo this will help it stay together. Add your chicken towards the centre of the wrap and evenly scatter over the additional ingredients before folding in the edges and rolling. Cut in half to serve.
BBQ Steak Sub
A soft sub roll is the perfect accompaniment for the classic American flavours in this sandwich.
Griddle thin slices or strips of steak along with thinly sliced red onions and peppers and sizzle in sweet and rich Maple & Bourbon BBQ sauce.
Simply slice your roll and add a generous helping of the steak mixture. Top with some thinly sliced provolone for a true taste of the USA.
Russian Salmon on Rye Bread
Fresh black pepper mayo is the perfect accompaniment to the richness of smoked salmon – simply sprinkle ground black pepper in your mayonnaise (roughly 98% mayo and 2% pepper) and blend!
Spread on your rye bread, top with thinly sliced smoked salmon and red onion and decorate with quartered black olives.
