Chinese New Year is a great opportunity to introduce exciting Asian dishes that can also help customers stick with their post-Christmas health kicks.

Bring healthy, flavour-packed dishes to your Chinese New Year menu

Flavoured oils such as Prep Premium FlavourHouse bring spicy, sweet and savoury flavours to Chinese dishes packed with lean protein, fresh crunchy vegetables, and satisfying rice and noodles.

Power-up your stir-fries by marinating chicken or tofu in Oriental Flame, a fiery chilli-flavoured toasted sesame oil, and quickly flash fry with spring onions, lemongrass, Thai basil, red chilli and mint. Serve on a bed of vermicelli rice noodles and beansprouts for a main dish that’s lean and full of protein, vitamins and fibre. For extra protein, sprinkle with toasted cashew nuts.

A big feature of Chinese New Year is communal dining – so rustle up the sharing platters for an experience customers will remember.

Marinate pork spare ribs in Oriental Flame before grilling, and create spicy prawns with FireHouse, a vibrant and bright red blend of Sriracha chilli, garlic and rapeseed oil, together with crushed ginger, spring onions, garlic and toasted sesame oil.

Stir-fried beef is a winner with FireHouse, soy, lime, cumin, tamarind and fennel – and don’t forget the lucky spring rolls and dumplings.

For a fragrant and spicy Chinese-style chicken and sweetcorn soup with noodles, first cook the chicken pieces in Hot CurryHouse oil, flavoured with fenugreek, coriander, paprika, ginger and rosemary.

With the menu complete, set the scene for customers with authentic decorations. Think dragons and lions, lanterns and fireworks, and a generous use of bright red and gold, to symbolise the scaring away of evil spirits!
