Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

500g  Baking potatoes

2 tbsp  Whirl Garlic and Herb

Salt and pepper

Method


1.Peel and chop the potatoes
2.Rinse thoroughly
3.Cook the potatoes in a pan of boiling salted water until soft and easily falling off the knife
4.Remove from the hob and drain through a colander
5.Return the potatoes to the pan and mash (use a potato ricer if preferred)
6.Place the pan over a low heat and stir the potatoes round to dry slightly, ensuring they don’t stick or burn on the base (this allows for a fluffier mash)
7.Remove from the pan from the hob and mix in the Whirl Garlic and Herb
8.Season to taste before serving

Add grated cheese, cooked bacon or sautéed savoy cabbage for a variation
